Rest in Peace Brothers

"The Pencilnecks’ journey has been as brilliant as it was turbulent. Along the way, there was collateral damage: innocent musicians swept up in the band's unrelenting eclectic surge, only to be tossed aside like some empty plastic water bottle. Some confidently felt that they could “straighten the band out” only to be forcibly removed and set adrift. Then there were those who chose to walk away, unable to reconcile the odd time signatures or grew weary under the weight of the lyrics. Others stuck it out, white-knuckling their way through the odd meters, bizarre tribal rhythms and inexplicable horn lines until they eventually succumbed to some hideous disease or a disease of their own making. So, we briefly set aside our petty judgments to pay tribute to those unique souls who went before us and we salute them, each and every one.
